Saturday’s Eastside Hill Annual Neighborhood-Wide Thrift Sale features over 85 thrift/garage/yard/whatever sales for your shopping pleasure. The weather’s supposed to be nice (mostly sunny, high seventies), so it’s a good day to scratch your “sale-ing” itch. You can check out a cool Google map showing all the sales (click map points for sale descriptions) and you can even download it. All sales take place on Eau Claire’s Eastside Hill (Margaret Street runs right though it), and while there’s no official start time, most will open between 7 and 9am and last into the evening. So ... thrift hard.

HUZZAH: Chippewa Valley Renaissance Faire | Join the Chippewa Valley Renaissance Faire for its opening weekend, and live out your fantasy of being the knight in shining armor, a damsel in distress, a dashing pirate, a naughty wench, or a romancing bard. Part craft fair, part historical reenactment, part performance art, take yourself back 400 years and enjoy the sounds, sights and activities of the renaissance. POLITICS: Fighting Bob Fest Northfest | Fighting Bob Fest Northfest is a fundraiser for progressive coalition-building featuring an afternoon of entertainment and community-building, bringing together exciting music (including The Jones Tones, Left Wing Bourbon, and the Evergreen Grass Band), hand-crafted food, progressive voices, and fun-loving people from around the region.
