The Nucleus will open its back room/stage for a special show on Saturday: Mages + The Heart Pills. Mages is a five piece music ensemble comprised of a few former locals, based in Minneapolis, featuring soulful acoustic musings and precise harmonies. Raised on good vibrations and influenced by the blues and folk, Mages' live set is both unique and inviting. Opening the show will be locals The Heart Pills, whose campfire-tin can-folk punk has rocked the Twin Cities and Eau Claire alike. (The Nucleus; Sat/7pm-10pm/$3)

PING PONG: Ping into Spring Tournament  | Play for charity with the Ping into Spring Charity Ping Pong Tournament hosted by the UWEC Ping Pong Club. All proceeds will go to UNICEF and their efforts in Haiti. (McPhee Racquetball Courts, UWEC; Sat/noon-5pm/$5, $3)

BALL: 36th Annual Viennese Ball | The largest social event hosted annually by the university, the event promotes positive university, community and international relations by expanding an awareness and appreciation of Viennese culture, history and music. Proceeds provide music scholarships and international study awards for deserving UW-Eau Claire students. (Davies Center, UWEC; Sat/6:30pm-1am/$37.50, $25)

ROCK: The Michael Rambo Project Live | Soulful strophes will oil the gears, melodic motifs may bend the ears, collective concepts will make the whole- its pop and soul and rock and roll.
