Sadly, this local news sensation does not concern this Fat Squirrel. No, it’s about an actual, obese rodent. From Boston. A couple of Fall Creek girls lucked out recently, snagging $10,000 on America's Funniest Home Videos with a video of themselves trying to dislodge a big chunky squirrel from the crotch of a tree. And as all you fans of AFV know, they are now in the running for $100,000. From WQOW.com …

• It all started the day after Thanksgiving. Bethany and Rebekah were on a leisurely stroll through a Boston cemetery. 
• Then Bethany says, "I saw his tail hanging out of the tree and I thought that's adorable a squirrel putting nuts in a tree.... So I went over and he's not moving. I poked him and he doesn't go anywhere and I'm like that's weird."
• When she showed her sister and their friend, she says the story got a little nuttier, "All of the sudden she comes running up to us, there's a squirrel stuck in the tree," says Rebekah.

Only in America can a couple of squirrel pokers win $10,000. After 10 minutes of rodent-yanking and attempts to communicate with the animal in its native tongue (really), they popped the thing from its wooden prison. Wanna see a YouTube clip? You can’t. Those Nazi’s over at America's Funniest Home Videos forbade the girls from posting their footage. We hear they’re gonna use some of the prize money for college.
