Elk Mound is Queen of the Election Day Ball

Mike Paulus |

Election results in a moment. First, let’s talk about Elk Mound. Holy crap. Voters in Elk Mound’s school district approved a $9,325,000 referendum to be used for things like infrastructure upgrades and building expansions. Nice! According to WEAU, 61% of the people voted for it. Not one of the region’s other school referendums passed. Go Elk Mound!

In other election news, in case you hadn’t heard, the Eau Claire city council race turned into an incumbent-o-rama (big surprise). Winners included David Duax, David Klinkhammer, Bob Von Haden, Andrew Werthmann, Thomas Kemp, and our brand new president Kerry Kincaid. Chippewa Falls is calling Gregory Hoffman their new mayor, and they’ve got Dennis Sykora and Roberta Rasmus on their school board. The Eau Claire School Board has Kathryn Duax and Wendy Sue John onboard. And Wisconsin has Shirley Abrahamson as a Supreme Court Justice.

Anyone disappointed? Happy? Unsettled?
