Boy, all these business closings has been a real emotional roller coaster. Well, mostly it’s been an emotional flume. But now we get to zip on up a little with the news that Menomonie’s Jake’s Supper Club has been purchased. Remember when it shut down and we were bemoaning the loss of a local live music venue? Well, we don’t know if the stage will be open (unlike here), but here’s what WQOW.com says ...

• A 1972 UW-Stout grad bought Jake's Supper Club. Kim Gruetzmacher also owns restaurants in the Twin Cities including the 8th Street Grill in Minneapolis. That restaurant features prime rib,  one of the things Jake's was known for. Kim's son, Peter, also a UW-Stout grad will likely run Jake's.

They say it will still be called “Jake’s” and might be open by the end of the month.
