We recently spent an evening doing a little candlelight snowshoeing at Beaver Creek Reserve just outside of Eau Claire. The weather was lovely, and the very nice volunteers did an outstanding job weaving candles throughout the woods, securing our trail shoes, and tending a nice bonfire. We'll most definitely be back before the season is over to check out the trail during daylight hours. We were first-timers, and if you've never tried it, I strongly recommend you check it out. They have all sorts of snowshoes you can borrow, the trails can be pretty easy, and the landscape is amazing. Especially after a fresh snowfall.
