Open Mic Night at The Plus features music, comedy, spoken word, and other performances. Musicians receive two songs of stage time; poets and comedians receive five minutes. The sign-up list goes out at 6pm, with 8 slots for musicians/poets and 16 slots for comedians on a first-come, first-served basis. First-time performers will be accommodated when possible, though slots tend to fill quickly.

Structure: Music and poetry typically run 7-8:20pm, followed by a short break, then comedy 8:40-10pm. Performers should come to stage when their name is called.

The Plus provides three microphones, mic stands, music stands, stools, chairs, three 1/4" cables, XLRs, and a 1/8" input for playing backing tracks. Bring any other equipment you may need.

The main room is set up as a listening room; conversation is welcome at tables, but attention should remain on performers. The bar lounge and patio are better spots for louder conversation.
