Artist Talk with Amaryllis R. Flowers

Amaryllis R. Flowers is a Queer Puerto Rican American Artist living and working in upstate New York. Flowers’ work is a vibrant, defiant assertion of BIPOC femme identity and experience. Rooted in a rich tapestry of Caribbean heritage, queer culture, and personal mythology, her practice is a visual language that defies categorization. Through a dynamic interplay of drawing, sculpture, video, and installation, Flowers constructs fantastical realms where marginalized voices are amplified and celebrated. Flowers returns to Eau Claire, where she spent several years of her childhood, to share her work with the community.
