Jeff Henson, business manager at Regis Court Dental Associates and husband of Dr. Lisa, notes the privilege of engaging with patients beyond the dental chair. “We’ve celebrated with patients after the birth of a child, and sat with them after they have lost a spouse. We have shared moments of great joy, showing each other photos from a wedding, graduation, or of a new grandchild,” Jeff said.

“Dentistry is so much more than fixing teeth,” he said. “It’s an opportunity to share those life moments together with individuals who are more like friends than just a patient in the chair.”

That sense of connection naturally extends far beyond the exam room. Whether at a local coffee shop or school event, the Regis Court Dental Associates’ team loves nothing more than stopping to say hello and chatting about everyday life outside the clinic.

With three kiddos, Dr. Lisa and Jeff are on the go between cross-country meets and soccer games, hiking through Hoffman Hills, catching a show at the Pablo Center or, in Dr. Lisa’s case, showing up to book club having only read half the novel.

In college, Dr. Trevor was found most often on the ice — he played on the hockey team — but these days, he’s finding time to hit the disc golf course, go to church with his family and hit the Chippewa River to fish.

Recently returning to his Wisco roots, Dr. Alex is still getting to know the local food-and-bev scene. He’s already figured out downtown Eau Claire coffee shop, Shift, makes a mean pour-over, and craft beer isn’t too far away.

Equal parts outdoorsy and gamer, Dr. Alex is still finding his go-to parks and trails to hike in the area, but can easily rattle off his favorite games and/or books: The Legend of Zelda, The Lord of the Rings, The Stormlight Archives and others.

“I’m so happy to finally be able to give back to the state I grew up in, not only through dentistry but also as a member of the community,” he said.

That sentiment is one the whole team resonates with. When the impact of high-quality health care is paired with real-life connections and years-long relationships, the better the experience for patient and doctor.
