The clinic will welcome patients as part of the new Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic, a modern facility designed to bring primary care, emergency care, inpatient hospital care, imaging and laboratory services together in one convenient location.

Two family medicine clinicians will help lead primary care services for patients: Ashley Schuelke, NP, and Katherine Jackson-Schneider, DO. Together, they bring a patient-centered approach focused on listening, prevention, education and long-term wellness.

Schuelke is a nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine with over 10 years of experience in the Chippewa Valley. She partners with individuals and families to support lifelong health and wellness.

“I am committed to a holistic approach that recognizes each patient as a unique individual while addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of health,” Schuelke said.

Schuelke is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and completed graduate education at Concordia University, Mequon, Wis.

For residents who have been waiting for more care options close to home, the arrival of Schuelke and Jackson-Schneider marks an important step forward.

Jackson-Schneider is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in family medicine. She has been caring for patients the last five years at Aspirus Stanley Clinic and will also see patients at Aspirus Chippewa Falls Clinic upon opening. Her background includes medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by internship and residency training through St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital, Madison Heights, Mich. She is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

“Family medicine clinicians care for patients through many stages of life,” Jackson-Schneider said. “That may include annual wellness visits, routine physicals, management of chronic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, medication reviews, preventive screenings, immunizations and evaluation of new or ongoing symptoms.”

Just as important, primary care clinicians help patients understand their health, make informed decisions and connect with additional services when specialty care or diagnostic testing is needed.

The new clinic is part of Aspirus Health’s broader commitment to improving access to care in the Chippewa Valley.

By offering primary care in the same facility as emergency, inpatient and diagnostic services, Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic is designed to support coordinated care before, during and after a patient’s visit.

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Clinic is scheduled to open on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
