THREE (SHEERS) FOR SAYLON SEVEN! On Oct. 17, the downtown Eau Claire salon will welcome longtime clients and new community members to a medieval themed celebration for its 15-year anniversary. The magical evening will include drinks, bites to eat, music, tarot readings and more; be sure to visit the salon’s Facebook page and RSVP today.

Over a decade ago, owner and stylist of Saylon Seven, Sabrina Spiegel, discovered her true passion: connecting with clients and staff through active listening – what she describes as “hair therapy” – and education.

The transformation to a new hairstyle can often elicit wonderful impressions, but empowering community members to value their hair journey at every step has proven to be transformative for all who step through Saylon Seven’s doors.

“I am here to do your hair, but it’s more than just loving your hair,” Sabrina said. “It’s about loving yourself; anyone can wear anything and look good if they have the confidence behind it.”

“I want one person to be able to get all of their needs met in one place,” she continued.

As the business marks 15 years of dedicated service in downtown Eau Claire, Sabrina continues to instill this “fearless mindset” in locals across all ages and identities.

On Oct. 17, Saylon Seven will welcome both its longtime clients and new community members to a medieval themed celebration for 15 years of business. While the theme might be straight out of a storybook, rest assured there will be plenty of modern flair, lively vibes and zero dragons to crash the party.

Sabrina Spiegel (pictured) is best known for her curly hair services, barber cuts, extensions, dreadlocks, multi-dimensional colors and much more.

With the anniversary milestone in mind, festivities offer a chance for Sabrina and her five-stylist crew to deepen their roots and foster a stronger connection to the community they call home.

“I feel so grateful that I am still just as busy (and) thriving just as well as I was in the beginning,” Sabrina said of the business’ early days. “People were attracted to the uniqueness; people are attracted to (Saylon Seven) being different.

“But, I think being connected to the community is my next plan,” she continued.

Sabrina and her team are best known for their expertise in curly haircuts and styling, hair extensions, dreadlocks and multi-dimensional color treatments. They stay at the forefront of the industry, she said, by following current trends and pursuing ongoing educational opportunities.

Over the past 15 years in the region, Saylon Seven has received many accolades in the annual Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll – from Best Hair Braiding to Best Hair Stylist For Curly / Natural Hair, Best Salon For Haircut and Color, among others.

Shout out to CJ McIntyre, who helps with the behind the scenes and keeps the salon running smoothly. Upon entering Saylon Seven, new clients are first greeted by CJ and can enjoy a personalized consultation that focuses on one’s personal hair aspirations.

This tailored experience is complemented by a professional shampoo and styling session, with a pricing structure designed to align with each stylist’s expertise and your individual budget.

“We can’t get enough shags up in here, everybody is loving that we cut really good, layered shag haircuts,” Sabrina said of her most requested styles. “I’ve been doing hair for almost 30 years; the shag was in then and now it’s back – that’s super fun.”

“I feel so grateful that I am still just as busy (and) thriving just as well as I was in the beginning.”

Sabrina emphasized that her team – often recruited from regional beauty schools – forms the heart of the business. Together, they cultivate an inclusive space for individuals of all gender identities, leading by example to inspire others to enter into the industry and foster more education in hair and beauty.

“I take such pride when the people around me are successful, it means a lot (and) I feel fulfilled – it’s a beautiful career,” Sabrina said.

Consider this your official invitation to “save the date” for a magical 15-year anniversary celebration with Saylon Seven on Oct. 17 – visit the salon’s Facebook page to RSVP. Until then, this longtime local staple will be waiting, ready to celebrate your signature style with haircuts, colors and more specialized services.
