What’s The Coolest Thing Made In Wisconsin?

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce’s (WMC) “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” competition is now accepting nominations for its eleventh iteration.
The annual competition aims to highlight the state's robust manufacturing industry – Wisconsin is the No. 1 manufacturing employer in the nation – and has garnered nearly two million votes since its inception in 2016.
The competition follows a bracket tournament-style format, with multiple voting rounds that put various Wisconsin-made products in a head-to-head matchup until the finalists are determined.
Familiar Chippewa Valley products and businesses have been nominated in the past – last year, Silver Spring Foods and Veritas Steel were nominated – but have yet to land the No. 1 spot.
The 2025 winner was the Search and Rescue 1000 Island Airboat, made in Marion, with other previous winners including Jolly Good Soda (Random Lake), the Milwaukee Eight Engine by Harley-Davidson (Milwaukee), among others.
The nomination period is open now through Sept. 11 and products are free to submit online. Official voting begins on Sept. 21 and will conclude in October, which also happens to be Manufacturing Month in Wisconsin.
