MONDAY NIGHT FOO(D)BALL. Menomonie Market Food Co-op brought its Values Menu Dinners – $6 healthy meals served fresh – back in Fall 2025. From 4:30-7pm on Monday nights, folks can snag a dish, which have ranged from chicken tikka masala to loaded meat or veggie chili and cornbread, baked ham and scalloped potatoes, teriyaki chicken and more.

As the outreach and education coordinator at Menomonie Market Food Co-op (MMFC), I can whole heartedly say, we value our community and we value good food – it's who we are. Our "Values Menu Dinners" are just one tangible example of that.

Our Monday night Values Menu Dinners were created prior to the pandemic as an affordable, healthy meal option for families. The dinner was incredibly popular with the Menomonie community, selling out a couple hundred meals each week, and we now offer it at our Eau Claire location too.

Given the success of – and need for – affordable meals, we revived the program last fall and are offering Values Meals ("Values," instead of "Value" because it better reflects our values as a business) at both stores weekly. For $6 on Monday evenings, from 4:30-7pm, you can buy a meal with optional add-on sides available for an extra fee.

"We know that affordability is something that is front-of-mind for more and more families, and that sometimes the most affordable food can be the least healthy," MMFC General Manager, Crystal Halvorson, said. "We wanted to strike a balance and show that affordable hot meals can still be fresh and home-made."

$6 Monday night meals can be enjoyed at Menomonie Market Food Co-op or picked up to go.

We believe our meals should be accessible to everyone, which is why folks paying with an EBT card can receive 50% off on Value Dinners up to $10. That's thanks to our shoppers who donate to our Round Up for Good program while checking out at our registers.

Folks can expect menus – curated in collaboration with our store deli managers, general manager and staff – to be released in three-month increments. Actually, we have a new one out right now: March through May features tasty options like primavera pasta, carnitas or bean burrito bowls, chicken or tofu Thai coconut curry and gluten-friendly and vegetarian options rotated throughout.

Check out each week's Values Menu Dinners online at mmfc.coop/deli and through MMFC socials on Facebook and Instagram (@menomoniemarket).
