If you can dream it, build it! The Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association’s (CVHBA) fan-favorite event, the Home Building LEGO Contest, is now accepting your best brick-builder work through 5pm on Jan. 31 (and is open to all ages).
Whether you’re a solo builder or part of a team, you can get in on the action – and duke it out for prizes. Winners will see their LEGO home displayed at the annual home show, Feb. 20-22, and earn $50 to spend at Micon Cinemas.
The rules, according to a media release, are as follows:
- After completing your LEGO home, fill out the CVHBA’s online submission form and upload up to four photos of your masterpiece (no videos)
- The home must be constructed from LEGOs, but non-LEGO items can be used for accessories to the home
- One entry per person
- Groups must be submitted as a team entry (siblings, friends, parent/grandparents with their child, etc.)
- All participants must liven within the CVHBA’s eight-county service area: Barron, Buffalo, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin or Rusk, or live in the Osseo-Fairchild School District
Categories will be determined once all entries are received, according to the CVHBA, and will be based on age and number of entries to ensure fair judging.
Last year’s event saw 40 entries and there is no fee to participate – so get building now, there’s bound to be some great competition!
