IT'S (ALMOST) TIME. If you see a horde of seasonally-clad bikers on Saturday, Dec. 6, don't worry, it's an approved event.
IT'S (ALMOST) TIME. If you see a horde of seasonally-clad bikers on Saturday, Dec. 6, don't worry, it's an approved event. Santa Cycle returns to downtown Eau Claire for a casual and festive community ride, complete with pre- and post-ride activities.

Now back for its fourth year in a row, this jolly bike ride will flood downtown Eau Claire with hundreds of Santas and other seasonally-clad folks this December in conjunction with Downtown Eau Claire, Inc.'s Haymarket Holiday celebration.

The seasonal, just-for-fun bike ride invites folks of all ages to dress in their holiday best for a friendly ride on Saturday, Dec. 6. Pre-ride festivities will begin at 12:30pm – at the Haymarket Plaza – before festive awards are given out for Best Individual Costume, Best Duo Costume, Best Group Costume, and Best Bike Bling at 1:05pm.

Curious about the dress code? As explained online, “While Santa costumes will rule the day at this family-friendly event, anything jolly will do!” So, whip out your holiday garb and ugliest holiday sweaters, jingle bells, or whatever else you want – and don’t forget to dress up your bike! There’s a whole award for “Best Bike Bling,” after all.

All cyclists at Haymarket Plaza will roll out together at 1:15pm for a casually paced six-mile route through downtown Eau Claire that ends back at the Plaza around 2pm.

Last year featured hundreds of participants. Presented by Volume One, Schools, and CORBA, organizers hope to see even more festive folks this year!

Free to participate in and open to all ages, the 2025 Eau Claire Santa Cycle Rampage will run from about 12:30-2pm with the ride beginning at 1:15pm from the Haymarket Plaza • View the full schedule online • This event is inspired by the original Milwaukee-based Santa Cycle Rampage created by Wisconsin Bike Fed
