"People think this is my entire collection," Chris McHugh tells me as I look around his precious rows of collectibles. "Then I tell them about the storage unit."
Perusing the collection at Allegedly Collectable very easily gives you the feeling of stepping back in time to the nostalgia of toys, video games, media, models, and more of your youth. "I can pretty much guarantee anyone who walks in here, if you grew up with toys from the 80s to early 2000s, I've got something you had as a kid," Chris promised me.
Chris himself is jovial, and enthusiastic; with the vibe of a punk rock Santa Claus. Allegedly Collectable has been selling collectibles from its space in Banbury Place's Building 13 for five years, expanding from a businesses model that was once online-only and present just at the East Side Hill Neighborhood thrift sales.

Every time you spot something, you'll be drawn in to look behind it, spotting more and more like a forest of childhood nostalgia.
Before bringing his collection to Banbury Place, Chris transitioned from his former central passion – body piercing – to glass blowing. "You can only pierce so many belly buttons before you start looking for a change," he said.
The craftsmanship of glass blowing was a natural fit for him, as is sharing it with others. Chris teaches glass-blowing classes for one to two people at a time, with options for complete glass novices as well as intermediate students.
Allegedly Collectable can be found in Banbury Place Building 13 and is open Wednesday to Friday, from 10am-6pm, and Saturday from 10am-4pm. Make sure you've got some time when you visit; there's plenty to peruse.
