Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. (DECI) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Downtown Enhancement Grant program. Announced on June 11, the organization is seeking projects focused on "the vitality and appeal" of the downtown area, including mural projects, signage, events, or business upgrades.
One project will be selected from the pool of applicants – open now through July 6 – and receive $2,000 in funding to bring their plan to life. Previous grant recipients have included Phoenix Taproom & Kitchen, which used the award to host its inaugural Oktoberfest event in downtown Eau Claire, and Eau Claire Outdoors, which added six kayaks to its rental program thanks to the grant funding.
"This grant program is one of the many ways DECI supports the continued growth and beautification of our downtown," Erin Klaus, executive director of DECI, said in a recent media release. "Small investments in things like storefront aesthetics or creative placemaking can make a big impact on foot traffic, community pride, and overall business success."
Applicants and proposed projects must be located within Eau Claire's Business Improvement District (BID) boundaries. Proposals will be considered based on alignment with downtown development goals and available funding, and will be reviewed by DECI's grants committee.
