Local art therapist Amy Hahn is kicking off the first of four free events in the “Healing to Flourish” series created by Flourishing Arts Eau Claire, a new nonprofit in Eau Claire dedicated to nurturing the community through the power of the arts.

The event, hosted at Hahn's art therapy studio in Banbury Place (930 Galloway St., Eau Claire), will take place on Sunday, March 23, from 3-4:30pm. Hahn will share her expertise in healing through art therapy with attendees.

Upcoming events in the Healing to Flourish series include "Healing Herbs and Drum Circles" with Chris and Lynn Buske on Sunday, April 13; "Mindfulness" with Athenea Moseler on Sunday, April 27; and "Writing to Heal" with B.J. Hollars on Sunday, May 11. The nonprofit is also planning "Flourishing Arts Festival," a one-day fest, for Summer 2026.

Jo Ellen Burke, a local artist and revered art teacher, and Dathan Boardman, a graphic and brand designer, are the co-founders and executive directors of Flourishing Arts Eau Claire. The nonprofit's goal is to raise awareness about art's ability to foster hope, healing, and health for everyone. Art, broadly defined, includes the visual arts, music, writing, healing and other forms of art.

The nonprofit's first event – hosted by art therapist Amy Hahn – will be held in Building 13, suite 16, at Banbury Place (930 Galloway St., Eau Claire) at 3pm on Sunday, March 23 • Learn more about Flourishing Arts Eau Claire at flourishingartsec.com • Keep up with the nonprofit on Facebook and Instagram
