The Tallest Man On Earth Returns to Eau Claire in April
Pablo Center announces addition to its spring lineup, with tickets on sale to public Dec. 19
Eau Claire last welcomed Grammy-nominated indie artist Kristian Matsson (also known as The Tallest Man On Earth), back in 2018. Locals will once again have the chance to relish in the sprawling sounds of The Tallest Man On Earth next spring at the Pablo Center.
Following his most recent release in 2023, Henry St., Matsson has toured across the world – including his home country, Sweden – and will return to the Midwest in April 2025. The Tallest Man On Earth will perform at the Pablo Center on Wednesday, April 16, at 7:30pm with featured artist The Still Tide.
The New York Times has noted Matsson’s talent for captivating audiences, describing his stage presence and use of “every inch of his long guitar cord to roam the stage: darting around, crouching, stretching, hip-twitching, perching briefly and jittering away. … Mr. Matsson is a guitar-slinger rooted in folk, and his songs are troubadour ballads at heart.”
The Tallest Man On Earth has been tied to the Chippewa Valley since opening for Bon Iver in 2008, and later performing at the 2015 Eaux Claires Music Festival. Still a collaborator of familiar artists and local favorites, Henry St. included trumpet and French horn by CJ Camerieri (Bon Iver), piano and organ by Phil Cook, strings by Rob Moose (Bon Iver, yMusic), and produced by Nick Sunburn (Sylvan Esso).
The addition of The Tallest Man On Earth comes near the end of The Pablo Center’s seventh season (winter 2024 and spring 2025), preceded by a variety of performances in the new year: Broadway shows Hadestown (January), The Addams Family (February), and Spamilton (February); local theater shows from the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild and Eau Claire Children’s Theatre; a variety of tribute shows; and more.
Pablo Center Circle Members are able to purchase tickets as of today, Dec. 17, and Pablo Center Sustaining Members can snag tickets beginning Dec. 18 at 10am. Tickets go on sale to the public on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 10am.
