Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity, YMCA of the Greater Chippewa Valley, and Friends of Beaver Creek Reserve were the recipients of a total $136,000 in grants from the William A. Bingham Family Endowment Fund at the Eau Claire Community Foundation. Announced on Dec. 10, the awardees were chosen after careful evaluation by a panel of ECCF grant reviewers.

The grants included the following: $25,000 was awarded to Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity to support the organization’s volunteer coordination; $66,000 was awarded to the YMCA of the Greater Chippewa Valley toward renovations at the Eau Claire South facility; and $45,000 was awarded to Friends of Beaver Creek Reserve to support renovations at Beaver Creek Reserve.

The William A. Bingham Family Endowment Fund has provided more than $280,000 to local charities since its creation in 2023, aiming to address critical needs and enhance the quality of life for all in the Chippewa Valley.

“The generosity of the William A. Bingham Family Endowment Fund is a shining example of the power of philanthropy,” said Wes Escondido, ECCF president and CEO, in a recent media release. “These grants will enable our grantees to continue their vital work, from fostering stronger families and supporting youth development to preserving our natural environment.”
