GIVE THANKS, GAVE SOME DRANKS. First-time
GIVE THANKS, GAVE SOME DRANKS. First-time "Drinksgiving" event will bring people into The Phoenix Taproom & Kitchen, and encourage folks to reflect on the year and donate to area charities.

The Phoenix Taproom & Kitchen hit the ground running when it first opened its doors in downtown Eau Claire this summer. The largest self-pour taproom in the Midwest quickly became a favorite for locals. In its first holiday season, the taproom’s team knew they wanted to give back to the community while bringing folks together.

Dreaming up a Thanksgiving-style get-together, TPTK aimed to create a space for families and friends to gather and unwind while reflecting on the good in the community. Its inaugural “Drinksgiving: Pour, Sip, & Give Thanks" event on Wednesday, Nov. 27, is meant to do just that.

Drinksgiving will dish up three surprise, exclusive event beverages for attendees; host live music from The Blakely Brothers; and display a Gratitude Wall. The latter is intended to spark a train of gratitude by encouraging customers to fill the wall with notes describing what they are thankful for.

“We’re also supporting causes close to our community’s heart by including a range of local charities,” Marketing Manager Courtney Hanson added. “Guests who make a donation of $25 or more to a charity of their choice and show proof (like a donation confirmation) will receive 25% off their tab for the evening.”

Posters throughout the downtown taproom will display QR codes linking directly to various local charities and organizations for folks to learn about while celebrating Drinksgiving.

“We wanted Drinksgiving to capture the heart of Thanksgiving: gathering with loved ones, having fun, and practicing gratitude,” Hanson said. “It’s a chance for everyone to unwind and enjoy themselves with loved ones before heading into Thanksgiving itself.”
