A new Indian restaurant is opening in November.

New Maharaja, an Indian cuisine buffet and bar, plans to open in November at the former Bridgewater Restaurant and Pub, 1009 W. Park Ave., Chippewa Falls. That will bring the Chippewa Valley’s total number of Indian restaurant options to two. (The other is Oakwood Mall’s Mango Indian.)

Helix Wine, Craft Bar & Cafe now offers brunch.

For all you brunch lovers out there, here’s some sweet and savory news: Helix (1444 Front Porch Place, Altoona) is now dishing up Sunday brunch from 10am-2pm every week. There will be a rotating, made-from-scratch menu including a mini quiche flight, french toast bake, and more.

Valley Burger is joining Market On River.

Valley Burger, an E.C. gourmet burger joint, recently announced it will open a second location, joining the highly anticipated Market On River in Chippewa Falls. They will join JimBob’s Pizza and TemptAsians as Market On River’s food vendors. (Ne-Ne’s Tacos and Whirlybird Coffee Co. dropped out of the project.)

This Chippewa Falls sports bar has a new name.

Although it opened its doors in 2023 at 465 Chippewa Mall Drive, the Rally House Sports Bar only recently held a formal ribbon cutting – and took the opportunity to adopt a new name. It will move forward as Rally Caps Sports Bar, and is rolling out new branding with an updated menu.

Gyro King is up for grabs.

According to an active commercial listing by Woods & Water Realty, the downtown Eau Claire eatery is on the market. Listed as a “turn key restaurant,” Gyro King currently has a price tag of $69,800 and is just over 1,000 square feet. Interested in the 320 Water St. joint? Reach out at joe@woodsandwater.com.
