Miron Construction has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Paragon Economic Impact Award from the Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corp. Businesses are nominated for the annual award by their peers based upon economic impact, which is defined by factors such as job creation, facility expansion or construction, investment in capital equipment, commitment to workforce education and training, and innovations in new products and technologies.
While headquartered in Neenah, Miron Construction works extensively in the Chippewa Valley, and recently opened a new 15,000-square-foot office in Lake Hallie. Among Miron’s many projects in the region are UW-Eau Claire’s Centennial Hall and the renovation of UW-Stout’s Harvey Hall.
According to a media release, the new office “not only reflects Miron’s commitment to excellence in construction but also provides a dynamic environment for their growing team to better serve their valued clients. It’s more than just a building; it’s a testament to Miron’s dedication to pushing boundaries and setting new standards in the industry and providing employees a state-of-the-art office space that they are excited to come to work to.”
Miron Construction was founded in 1918 and has other regional offices in Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Wausau, as well as Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Marquette, Michigan.
“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition,” said Andrew Daniels, senior vice president of Miron Construction’s Eau Claire office. “At our core, we believe in building more than just structures – we believe in building stronger communities. Through our team’s giving of time, talent, and treasure throughout the greater Chippewa Valley, we demonstrated that when we come together, we can have a lasting impact on both the economy and the well-being of those around us. This award affirms our commitment to continue investing in the people and places that make our community thrive.”
The Paragon Award is sponsored by Royal Credit Union. Past winners include Silver Spring Foods, Huebsch, Market & Johnson, Action City, Dynamic Fitness & Strength, Jamf Software, Pablo Group, and Indianhead Food Distribution. While the award was officially given to Miron in September, it was for Miron’s 2023 accomplishments. Typically, the award is given at the Eau Claire Area EDC’s annual luncheon in February, but this year the event was delayed so it could be held in the newly opened Sonnentag Center.
The Eau Claire Area EDC is a nonprofit public-private partnership focused on advancing the local economy.
