After dropping social media hints over the past week, Bon Iver has announced a new single and music video: “S P E Y S I D E” will be released at 12am ET on Friday, Sept. 20.

According to a media release, the song features vocals and guitar by Justin Vernon with viola from frequent Bon Iver collaborator Rob Moose. Vernon and Jim-E Stack produced the song, while Erinn Springer created the music video. It’s the band’s first new music since 2020.

For what it’s worth, “Speyside” is the name of a whisky-producing area in northeastern Scotland. (Vernon is a known lover of the distilled spirits, having appeared in a Bushmills campaign back in 2011.)

“S P E Y S I D E” can be pre-saved on a variety of music platforms here, and you can check out the music video when it premieres here.
