“December 26th” (2022) 5" x 7" • Oils •From the artist: “I was captured by the expression and color in this portrait, but what clinched the deal for me was the humor. I’m painting it and thinking ‘What is the title? What captures it for me?” – Then I laughed because his white beard reminded me a little of Santa Clause. I imagined that after a lot of work kicking off Christmas, Santa’s favorite place would be the beach.

In my art, I’m capturing moments in beautiful, colorful, rich oil paint. Ordinary moments that you want to last forever are perfect as a painting – beach days, Phoenix Park at the farmer’s market, birds, or even simple coffee cups because they remind us of friends and loved ones.

Art – colorful art, capturing moments.”
