The Chippewa Valley Museum is now offering discounted admission through a nationwide program called Museums for All. The program, which offers reduced-price admission to about 1,200 museums throughout the country, is intended for patrons who qualify for a variety of financial assistance programs.
The discount sets admission rates at $2 per person and $25 for a year-long family membership. Discounts are available to SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid participants who let admission staff know which program they participate in and present an EBT card with a photo ID.
“Museums are good for communities. They bring people together and make people feel good,” CVM Director Carrie Ronnander said in a recent media release. “The Chippewa Valley Museum joined the Museums for All program so more people could enjoy all that our museum has to offer.”
The museum highlights the historic background of the Chippewa Valley and how our community became what it is today, and how it ties into the nation’s larger history. With in-person and virtual exhibits, its podcast, rentable history kits, kids and teens programming, and more, the CVM continues innovate its storytelling methods while staying true to its mission: connecting people to our community and inspiring curiosity.
