The people have spoken! The Eau Claire Marathon has qualified for the prestigious participant-determined award: The Racecheck Gold Award.
The Eau Claire Marathon includes a certified Boston Qualifier marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10k and 5k, a kids fun run, competitive walking division, and more. It’s as much a favorite for community members as it is for the runners who travel from all over to compete, and earning an award like the Racecheck speaks to that.
“Receiving an award that was given to us by the participants is a huge deal,” said Eli Uelmen, owner of the Eau Claire Marathon. “We know there are many races people can choose from, so we work very hard to put on an event that everyone enjoys.”
Racecheck is a platform for racing participants to read reviews of and post their own feedback on running events. As described by Rob Arkell, Racecheck’s director of sales and business development, “Events qualify for gold, silver, and bronze Racecheck awards by achieving benchmark average ratings from the reviews they receive. An award derived from the people who have taken part is undoubtedly the highest accolade for an event organizer and a huge confidence boost.”
“This award is one the Eau Claire Marathon team can be truly proud of, and it’s very well deserved,” Arkell said. “Participants can enter this amazing experience with complete confidence.
The 2024 Eau Claire Marathon is slated for April 27-28.
