From ‘Cash Cab’ to Clear Water Comedy
former host of Emmy Award-winning show to perform in Eau Claire
Many people in the Eau Claire area are familiar with Clear Water Comedy for the group’s work in bringing various types of entertainment to the Chippewa Valley since 2015, particularly, comedy. Thanks to its impressive reputation, they have been booking more big names, including Ben Bailey.
Folks are likely to recognize Bailey from his days as host of the Emmy Award-winning game show Cash Cab – yes, he is a licensed taxi driver in New York City – or his various appearances on 30 Rock, MADtv, and Comedy Central. Bailey also co-hosts a YouTube show called “The Big News Show” alongside Emma Gleeson.
Clear Water Comedy’s Cullen Ryan said Eau Claire and the organization have grown a reputation that is attracting more and more entertainers.
"Thankfully, we've built up a reputation for paying fairly, delivering on what we promise, and most importantly, having a really, really fun room with a great crowd," Ryan said. He also noted that this particular show with Bailey would be a killer way to end your evening following the downtown E.C. Fall Festival!
Tickets for Bailey's Sept. 16 shows (one at 6pm, the second at 9pm) at The Plus (208 S Barstow St., Eau Claire) are $25 in advance and $40 for VIP, which includes a free drink at the show, a souvenir poster, and a meet-and-greet with Bailey.
