REWIND: UWEC’s Audacious A Cappella to Perform on May 13
performing songs from different decades, Audacious has it all at their spring concert
It’s time to dust off those mixtapes! UW-Eau Claire’s student-led a cappella group, Audacious, invites you to their spring concert: “Rewind” on May 13 at 7pm in the Schofield Auditorium.
Join the wonderful members of Audacious in their blast to the past, performing a host of songs, one for each decade starting from the ’70s. Tune into an awesome repertoire of artists, featuring Heart, Carly Simon, Adele, Lady Gaga, and more! In addition, the lineup will also include a special medley of nine tracks starting from the ’50s onward.
“We are feeling so ready and confident for our concert!” Audacious’s Johanna Richardson said. “We played a shortened setlist earlier this semester at the Viennese Ball, which went really well and helped us gain confidence while performing.”
For Audacious, inclusivity and the empowerment of women are at the head of their mission statement. With each semester’s concert, the group partners with a nonprofit organization to further their goals, showing their sincerity to the cause.
“This semester we are partnering with the Red Letter Grant, which works to support and empower women entrepreneurs throughout Western Wisconsin by awarding start-up capital in the form of grants, curating small business workshops, and hosting intentional networking events,” Richardson explained.
