Poignant, vulnerable, and playful are all words musician and UW-Eau Claire alum Mack John uses to describe her debut album, Not Ready. An Eau Claire native and now a resident of Portland, Oregon, her first album will release on March 24. It’s a whimsical, yet intimate project with witty and relatable lyrics; an earthy blend with quirky eclectic folk-pop.

John describes the song “Sandbags” as the drama queen of the album that came to her “during a period of the type of self-growth that feels temporarily like sinking.” “Sandbags” releases early, on March 10, streaming everywhere.
