Our recently published Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll features 370 categories, including Most Romantic Spot. We thought that there would be no better time than Valentine’s Day to highlight what our readers chose as the place to visit with that special someone.

Can you feel it? The love in the air tonight? If you’re looking for a place to cozy up with your honey or to pull out a good romance book by yourself (both are valid) here are the places the Chippewa Valley voted as most romantic. In first place is Big Falls County Park (600 Big Falls Forest Road, Fall Creek) with a plethora of picnic areas with grills for a romantic outdoor dinner, sandy beaches, canoeing/tubing, and of course, beautiful waterfalls.

Next up for romantic spots is Rod & Gun Park (1515 Rod & Gun Park Drive, Eau Claire) a 36-acre park that has eight small ponds connected through a series of streams. It’s a local favorite and is used for many dates, engagements, and weddings. Last but not least is The Brewing Projekt rooftop (1807 N. Oxford Ave., Eau Claire) which overlooks the Chippewa River. It’ll be the second best-looking view on your date.
