You Can Rent This 12,500-Square-Foot Mansion on Lake Pokegama

The Grand Pokegama Estate located in Chetek boasts three living rooms, eight bedrooms with 18 beds, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a separate apartment suite with a kitchenette, an outdoor patio featuring an outdoor kitchen, rentable pontoons with private docks, and that’s not even the whole of it.
The secluded lakefront mansion – which recently landed on Airbnb – has nearly 700 feet of frontage for any type of party or gathering you can think of hosting, and thanks to almost every bedroom having its own private bath, a comfortable stay is the least of guest’s worries.
Though the two pontoon boats available for rent are a must for summer stays – the mansion located on Lake Pokegama, part of the Chain of Lakes – during the wintry months ATV and snowmobile trails are easily accessible, with ski rental available, too. While the estate feels luxuriously secluded and private, it’s just five minutes outside of Chetek for any town-run needs you might have.
The Grand Pokegama Estate has hosted group rentals of all kinds, including a hunting group from Utah who visited the area for deer hunting, a 20+ person Christmas celebration, and a women’s retreat.
Oh, and if you’re worried about how much snow must pile up near the homefront, no need – the heated driveway takes care of that.
The estate has a three-day minimum for renting, costing $1,750/night. For a group of 15, that would be about $115/night, comparable to most hotel stays. A cleaning and service fee is also tacked on to the total cost, with a 10% discount offered for a 7+ night stay.
