The Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra’s annual free Family and Friends Concert will feature Tubby the Tuba and Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Cellos in collaboration with The Cello Connection.

Tubby the Tuba tells the heart-warming story of an instrument who feels like he is more than just an Oompah sound, and with the help of a friendly frog, he finds his song. The concert will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2pm in the RCU Theatre of the Pablo Center at the Confluence (128 Graham Avenue, Eau Claire).

Following the concert, the Eau Claire Area School District will provide a musical instrument “petting zoo” where young listeners will be able to see the instruments up close and try them out.

While entrance is free of charge, tickets must be reserved online at the Pablo Center’s website.  Concert sponsors include The Wisconsin Arts Board, the Eau Claire County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, and Visit Eau Claire.
