Double Days, which had operated in King’s Plaza on Eau Claire’s south side since the 1980s, closed earlier this year. Good Times Tavern revived the spot, holding a grand opening on Dec. 3 which included a ribbon cutting, drink specials, live music, and a fish fry. But don’t worry if you missed it, there is still plenty to do over at the Good Times Tavern: There’s free pool on Mondays, BINGO Wednesdays, darts, karaoke, and more. 

Their menu is a little smaller than previous patrons may recall, but there is more of a focus on pizza, calzones, and burgers, which are crowd favorites. In the future, Underwood is hoping to have an emphasis on bar game leagues and creating an environment where people can come and relax with a few drinks and some good food. 

“When I leave the house I’m always in search of a good time,” Underwood said regarding the bar’s new name. “I feel like if that’s what I’m searching for, that’s what others are searching for too. And we definitely have good times here.”
