Have you ever thought about renting out a park just for yourself and your dog? It turns out that you actually can!

Sniffspot is an app, often called “the Airbnb for dogs,” that has recently been growing in popularity. The platform allows you to rent an entire stretch of land that you and your dog can play and explore for an hour at a time.

Taking into account your dog‘s health is something most dog owners focus on when bringing them out in public. Dog parks can be good for socializing, but it is hard to know if sickness is being spread among the dogs, and the occasional spat between dogs isn’t off the table.

Leslie Gustafson and her family have converted 20 acres of land right in their backyard into a local Sniffspot outside Eau Claire. Currently, they are rated at 5 stars on Sniffspot with a ton of positive reviews from dog owners who say they’ve left with tuckered-out and happy dogs. Apart from that, Gustafson explains that sniffing is important to dogs and can change their behavior. It is a beautiful property that will have your dog, and yourself, energized and gettin’ some fresh air.

Look for “Wheaton Wild” on Sniffspot, which can be booked at $14 per hour per dog. Groups are acceptable, too, so feel free to ask the host about it. Water, leashes, ball throwers and balls, hand sanitizer, and bug spray are provided.
