The registration deadline is coming soon for Startup 48, an annual event that invites entrepreneurs to take part in a 48-hour sprint to kick-start their businesses.

Now back for its sixth year, Startup 48 will be Oct. 14-16 at WIN Technology, 4955 Bullis Farm Drive, Eau Claire. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Oct. 5. Startup 48 is all about bringing entrepreneurial people together to experience the rush of launching a business in a short amount of time.

“During this 48-hour event,” explains the Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corp., “participants will start with an idea and create and minimal viable product (something that is ready to be introduced to the market). Startup 48 is open to anyone, of any age, who is interested entrepreneurship and wants to meet like-minded people in our community.”

At the end of the weekend, five judges will select a winning team, which will receive a smorgasbord of prizes, including office space for three months at CoLab; a three-hour marketing strategy coaching session with Dialog Design; a team building activity at Escape EC; a complimentary patent/trademark discovery session with Bourget Law; and a business finance discover consultation with Prevail Bank.
