The Chippewa Valley has gotten a spicy gift in a bottle: Infinity Beverages dropped the Valley’s first-ever Spiced Rum on June 7.

This Spiced Rum has been created with blackstrap molasses and flavors like orange, vanilla, ginger, clove, and cinnamon.

"It was fun to work with different ingredients like the blackstrap molasses and brown sugar to see the different characteristics out of the still as compared to whiskey,” said Seth Meyer, production manager at the Eau Claire winery and distillery. “You get sweeter notes.”

Infinity Beverages recommends pairing this with some ginger beer, but they also said it goes down “dangerously smooth” if you prefer your rum on the rocks. You can try it before you buy it with a complimentary taste at Infinity Beverages, 3460 Mall Drive, Eau Claire.
