THE AMERICAN DREAM: E.C. Chamber Orchestra Preps Star-Spangled Lineup
May 15 performance at Pablo Center will feature bassoonist Trent Jacobs
Classical music is often linked to centuries past in distant nations, but America has its fair share of praiseworthy pieces to show off, too.
The Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra will present its “American Dreams” concert at 2pm Sunday, May 15, in the RCU Theatre at the Pablo Center at the Confluence in Eau Claire. The concert will feature pieces by American composers William Grant Still, Arthur Foote, Florence Price, and more.
The performance will be conducted by Frank Watkins, and will feature Trent Jacobs as bassoon soloist. The concert will also include a commissioned bassoon concerto by John Steinmetz.
Tickets for the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra’s concert “American Dreams,” are $32 for adults and $7 for youth. Tickets are available now at PabloCenter.org and will also be available at the door.
