The annual Red Letter Grant announced it is now open for new applications this spring,  seeking to award $2,000 to new, women-owned businesses throughout 10 counties in Western Wisconsin. There will be up to four recipients, with a preference for businesses in the start-up phase.

Since 2017, the Red Letter Grant has given entrepreneurial women the chance to take risks when it comes to their businesses. By curating small business workshops, mentor and peer networks, and providing start-up capital, this grant has given many women-led businesses in the area a chance to reach their goals.

Rebecca Cooke, Red Letter Grant founder, wrote, “We unabashedly believe that when you fund, mentor, stand by, and stand up for women, amazing things are bound to happen.”

Applications opened on Feb. 1, and the deadline for applications is 11pm on April 25. Applications will be reviewed by a board of judges – after which selected applicants will advance to an interview stage. Grants will be awarded on May 26.
