Awards season is here – and we don’t just mean the Oscars. Voting is on for the Downtownys, while are given each year to the favorite businesses, most impressive projects, and coolest events in Downtown Eau Claire. And you don’t need to be a member of an elite academy to help choose the winners: Any member of the public can vote now through Friday, Feb. 4, on the website of Downtown Eau Claire Inc., which oversees the awards. 

The winners will be announced at the Downtown Awards and Celebration from 5:30-8pm on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Brewing Project, 1807 N. Oxford St. In addition to the publicly voted winners, DECI will give out awards to its Sponsor of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Member of the Year, as well as a Downtowny for Outstanding Achievement. 

Last year’s Downtowny winners included the Pablo Group, the Current Apartments, Ver Salon, Ramone’s Ice Cream Parlor, and the Water Street Kwik Trip.
