Despite the hardships and setbacks the world has faced amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild is creating opportunities to help the Chippewa Valley heal, including an event this February that will focus on love amid pandemic times.

Four musicians and four storytellers will share their original work on Feb. 10 at the upcoming event "Sound and Stories: Love in the time of COVID-19," expressing different perspectives on the ooey-gooey, sappy theme of love. Local writers include Katie Venit, Karly Grice, Rebecca Mennecke, and Cait McGarvey, with music by Cait McGarvey, Soren Staff, Derick Black, and Parker Reed.

“We want to reinforce how amid the hopelessness, we found hope," said B.J. Hollars, founder and director of the writers guild, "and amid the heartbreak, we still found love."

This event will take place on Feb 10 at 7pm in the Riverfront Room at the Pablo Center. To buy tickets and to learn more information, visit pablocenter.org.
