As part of its yearlong 25th anniversary celebration, the Eau Claire Community Foundation is seeking applications from nonprofits who want to be included in its third online Grant Catalog.

The Grant Catalog provides a crowdfunding opportunity, allowing donors to give directly to funding requests from local nonprofits. The theme for the new Grant Catalog is “Give Green,” which will support “programs that engage children and adults in activities that improve environmental quality or provide fitness, health, and wellness opportunities” as well as groups that help animals and wildlife, the foundation says.

Grant applications will be accepted through Jan. 31, and the Grant Catalog will be live for donations from the public on Feb. 7.

Here are more details from the foundation on the process:

Applicants will not only receive the money they raise in the form of grants, but all that raise at least $1,000 will also become eligible for bonus grants from ECCF. The top three fundraisers will receive bonus grants of $10,000, $7,000, and $5,000. All other organizations that raise at least $1,000 will be entered into a drawing for three $1,000 bonus grants.

ECCF has already experienced great success with its first two Grant Catalogs: Create Culture and Form Futures. Over $160,000 in grants was awarded to area nonprofits during these two cycles! ECCF aims to continue this trend with its final two categories: Give Green (Feb. 7-March 2) and Offer Opportunities (April 11-May 4).
