Hey you! Yeah, you! Applications for the second annual Midwest Artist Academy are now open, and they’re calling all teens age 14-18 to apply.

Founded in May 2020 by UW-Eau Claire professors B.J. Hollars and Maggie Pahos, the Midwest Artist Academy offers a seven-day artistic adventure geared toward 14- to 18-year-old teens. The academy takes pride in its inclusivity, while working alongside young artists yearning to express themselves in various ways, including through music, theater, visual art, dance, and writing.

“We are so excited to host young artists from throughout the region and beyond,” said founder and director B.J. Hollars. “Last summer reaffirmed the power of collaboration, and we can’t wait to see what magic is in store for our second summer.”

This unique precollege experience will be held at the UW-Eau Claire campus from July 10-17. Applications open Jan. 1 and close Feb. 1 with a limited number of scholarships available, so apply early.
