The Chippewa Valley will experience another farm show bumper crop when Wisconsin Farm Technology Days again sprouts in the region in the summer of 2024.
The annual event – the biggest outdoor agricultural show in Wisconsin and the largest such volunteer-led event in the United States – will be in Chippewa County in 2024 for the first time since 2004. The Leader-Telegram reported Dec. 16 that Farm Tech Days organizers had confirmed with Chippewa County Administrator Randy Scholz that they had accepted the county’s bid for the Farm Tech Days. The previous day, the Chippewa County Board had approved a resolution committing $20,000 in startup funds for the event.
The location of the host farm and the dates of the event have yet to be determined, the Wisconsin State Farmer reported. The 2021 Farm Tech Days was hosted by Huntsinger Farms outside Eau Claire, which welcomed more than 52,000 visitors and 520 exhibitors. The 2022 event will be in Clark County.
