If you’re looking to cross the finish line when it comes to new year’s resolutions (which may or may not include training for this spring’s Eau Claire Marathon), listen here to some exciting new changes to the 2022 race schedule.
On Saturday, April 30, get ready to race the Eau Claire Marathon’s 5K, Cheri Uelmen’s Fantastically Fun Kids’ Run, and a new race – unique to this year: the Eau Claire Marathon 10K. Then, on Sunday, May 1, check out the annual marathon, four-person marathon relay, and the half-marathon.
But the new 10K race isn’t the only addition runners can expect this year. The E.C. Marathon encourages runners to “G-EAU BIG” by participating in the 5K as well as the marathon, half-marathon, or four-person relay.
And, for those of you up for the challenge, runners have an opportunity to “G-EAU BIGGER!” These Racers will do the 5K, the 10K, and the marathon/half-marathon/relay. Those who complete these challenges will have both exclusive bragging rights and some seriously swell swag, according to the marathon’s website.
Also be sure to check out Cheri’s Crazy Challenge, which includes running the Fun Run and the 5K – and if you can do it, you’ll receive three sweet medals! Success!
