Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is all about bringing people down to the farm, but this year it will also bring the farm to you – in the form of special music, food, and beer events around the Chippewa Valley.

Farm Tech Days will run July 20-22 and is hosted by Huntsinger Farms, just south of Eau Claire. But in addition to a jam-packed show with activities and exhibit for everyone from fifth-generation dairy farmers to families with young kids, organizers say attendees will have a whole host of evening activities and dining options to choose from.

The Executive Committee of the Eau Claire show has been working with Visit Eau Claire, as well as local restaurants and hotels, to make sure that people who come to the show from near and far have plenty to do.

Here’s a rundown on the events:

EAU CLAIRE’S COUNTRY HOEDOWN

Tuesday, July 20, 4-10pm • Lismore Hotel, 333 Gibson St., Eau Claire

Featuring the popular Bear Creek Band, the Hoedown in downtown Eau Claire will have food trucks, a cash bar, shopping, and dining.

ROCK’N ON THE RIVER IN ALTOONA

Wednesday, July 21, 5-10pm, River Prairie Park, Altoona

Bring your beach chairs and blankets and come hear local favorites 40 Fingers rockin’ at River Prairie Park. There will be music, food trucks, restaurants and bars, and a chance to explore the nearby Veterans Tribute Trail. Carry-in coolers are welcome.

Local hotels will provide free shuttle service to and from Eau Claire Country Hoedown and Rock’n on the River. Hotels include: Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn South, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express West, Home2, Best Western (Mondovi Road), Hampton Inn Eau Claire, and Lismore Hotel.
