The president and CEO of Eau Claire-based Royal Credit Union has been elected as chair of the Wisconsin Credit Union League. Brandon Riechers will serve a one-year term as chair of the board of directors for the group, a trade association for non-profit financial institutions across the state. He was elected at the league’s virtual annual meeting on May 6. “I am honored to serve as the chair of The League Board of Directors,” Riechers said in a media release. “I look forward to working with the board to advocate on behalf of our more than 3 million members. Credit unions play an important role in our economy and positively impact Wisconsin families, businesses, and the communities we serve.” Riechers has worked for RCU for 25 years and became president/CEO in 2017. RCU has more than 230,000 members across 26 counties in western Wisconsin and 16 counties in Minnesota.
