A local business owner is looking to bring self-love and mental wellness to women across the Chippewa Valley.
Patty Wollum is the mastermind behind Blue Sky Retreat – a place for women to refresh and refocus in the beautiful outdoor backdrop of southern Eau Claire County, about a 30-minute drive from Eau Claire.

It is so important to take time to relax, create, discover different self-care options.
Patty Wollum
Owner of Blue Sky Retreat
The center opens in June, with a whole slew of sessions and activities lined up for this summer.
“It is so important to take time to relax, create, discover different self-care options, exercise, and laugh with a great group of women,” Wollum said. “So I wanted to create a place for women to have that opportunity.”
Local women can escape to Blue Sky for two types of retreats. The first is the All Me Retreat, where all the activities are outdoors. The day starts with a meditation intention and is followed by an array of activities that include a sunrise yoga session and nature-inspired crafts. The second retreat will have women tapping into their creative juices: the Art Retreat.
Wollum’s strong passion for art will shine through classes of fabric and cloth dyeing, and slow stitching. Participants will be able to see what they can create with the different techniques Wollum shares. The results are always surprising.
Wollum says Blue Sky Retreat is important to the area for one simple fact: There is nothing locally that compares. For more information on retreats and how to sign up for them, just head to blueskyretreatec.com because – as Wollum said – “Every woman deserves a blue-sky day!”
