UW-Eau Claire and the Eau Claire City-County Health Department will hold a special three-day clinic Tuesday-Thursday, May 4-6, to offer doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to protect against the COVID-19 virus. The Pfizer vaccine also will be available at the mass vaccination clinic at Zorn Arena on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

The one-dose vaccine will be available from 11am-7pm at Zorn Arena. Walk-up appointments are welcome, and the vaccine will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If demand for the J&J vaccine surpasses the supply, individuals will be offered first-dose shots of the Pfizer vaccine.

All vaccines offered through the mass vaccination clinic at Zorn Arena are free, and no insurance or proof of residency is required. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is approved for anyone 18 and older.

“This three-day clinic offers people who want to be vaccinated a great opportunity to complete vaccination in one trip,” Eau Claire City-County Health Department public health nurse Kristy Polden said. “We encourage everyone who has not been able to find time in their busy schedule to make an appointment to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at Zorn Arena next week. In less than 30 minutes you can receive your vaccine and have peace of mind as we continue to deal with this virus.”

Parking is readily available in the Hibbard Parking lot on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
