"Where are we going? To save the Earth!"
"Where are we going? To save the Earth!"

Do you like free stuff? What about free stuff that’s sustainable and eco-friendly?

Well, this Earth Day – Thursday, April 22 – Eau Claire Transit is offering free rides on its buses in an effort to reduce traffic-driven pollution and congestion, courtesy of the Chippewa Valley Transit Alliance. Eight of the 22 buses in the Eau Claire Transit’s fleet are diesel-electric, which are slowly taking over from older models as part of the city’s goal of being carbon neutral.

All 22 buses are available for this opportunity, though, not just the hybrids! Buses are accessible for those with mobility devices and they “kneel” to be level with the curb for easy boarding and unboarding.

Visit www.ecbus.org or call (715) 839-5111 to plan your route for Earth Day.
